Scout Leadership: A Practical Guide
a new guide written especially for Boy Scout Leaders

Three Eagle Scouts (Rob Faris, Ted Knight and Harry Wimbrough) have co-authored a practical guide for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Venture Advisors and other Scout leaders.

Illustrated by Scout Joseph Durel, the Guide is intended to be a resource that will help you, a Scout Leader, train your Scouts to become effective leaders.

"We wrote this guide as part of  self-evaluation that brought us back to the very beginnings of Scouting.  Lord Baden-Powell had great insights.  They are still completely valid today, a century after B-P first formulated them.  Training Scouts to be and become leaders will sometimes be challenging and possibly even frustrating.  Put your trust and faith in the program B-P created for us and our Scouts.  If you continue to do your best, you cannot fail.  If you ever get the feeling that B-P himself is standing over in the corner of your campsite or meeting hall watching you as you interact with your Scouts, you will have achieved some degree of success."
